-Pending tide conditions on the river, the cruise may need to go in the opposite direction.

The Prison Boab Tree, Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek are three of the Kimberley's well known icons. Gain an insight into this fascinating part of outback Australia. Rich in geological history and cultural significance, Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek form part of the ancient Devonian reef system. Towering gorge walls rise up to majestic heights that will overwhelm while beautiful cave formations will astonish any visitor to this outback wilderness.

Windana Gorge

Part of a 375 million year old Devonian reef system, the region of Windjana Gorge holds significant cultural importance for the local Bunuba people who used to live there. This gorge and nearby Tunnel Creek was also the base for indigenous outlaw, Jandamurra, who led an armed revolt in the 1890s against European settlers.
