How to get there ● Please allow enough time for your 5 minute ferry transfer to Penguin Island (Ferry time - 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00) prior to cruise departure.

Ferry wharf located approximately 63km south of Perth Airport, takes about 1 hour; approximately 52km south of Perth Elizabeth Quay, takes about 55 minutes.

- There is free car parking onsite and overflow parking available at the Safety Bay Bowling Club a short walk away at 130 Gloucester Crescent, Safety Bay.

● By Public Transport
The closest Train Station is Rockingham Station. Take the train south from Perth on the Mandurah line.
The closest Bus Stop is Penguin & Watts Road. Catch bus 551, 552 or 553 from stands 9 or 10 outside the train station.

Check-in requirements Please arrive at the ticket office 30 minutes prior to the ferry departure time to exchange for ticket/boarding pass before proceeding to the boarding terminal. Regrettably, failure to arrive before this time will most likely be classified as no-show and result in forfeiting the booking and it cannot be refunded or transferred.

If you are not familiar with the area or travelling on a weekend or local public holidays / school holidays, please make sure you've checked your timetable or driving route beforehand, and allow extra travelling time for unexpected delays to ensure you do not miss your check in

2 Overview

Enjoy the scenic highlights of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park and keep a look out for the wildlife! This 60 minute glass bottom boat cruise takes place in the ruggedly spectacular coastlines of Penguin, Seal & Bird Islands and takes advantage of the best wildlife spotting opportunities of the day. Wild dolphins, rare Australian sea lions, pelican rookeries, and birds of prey are regularly sighted and our friendly crew will get you right amongst the action! The cruise concludes on Penguin Island to see the penguin feeding and then enjoy some island time before returning on the ferry at your own leisure.

RETURN FERRY TIME

Getting back to the mainland is easy, no prior booking is required. Return ferries depart hourly from Penguin Island at 10:10, 11:10, 12:10, 13:10, 14:10, 15:10 & 16:00 sharp, just walk down to the jetty a few minutes before hand and show your ticket to the skipper prior to boarding. On busy days ferry will keep running until everyone is off the island.

 

Please note Penguin Island closes to the public at 16:00 so please be waiting on the jetty by this time.

● If you cancel between 0 and 13 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
● If no show, no refund.
