Tour Information
The Goondawanna Rainforests have so much to offer only a short drive from the Gold Coast beaches. This small group tour is a truly personalised experience with no more than 15 people per tour and door to door service from your central Gold Coast hotel. Visit the Stunning Natural Arch waterfall with a fully guided walk from an expert local guide. Learn about the unique flora and fauna of the rainforest as you make you way. From inside the cave see the water cascading through the roof of the basalt cave which has been formed over millions of years.
Continuing the tour, Best of All Lookout offers a view of northern New South Wales and Mount Warning. The walk to this magnificent lookout takes you through one of the few remaining pockets of ancient Antarctic beech forest.
A cosy hinterland cafe will provide freshly baked scones with jam & cream for afternoon tea, accompanied by a coffee, tea or hot chocolate or a cool drink in summer before heading to the nearby viewing platform to see Purling Brook Falls.
During the journey tour commentary on the area and wildlife is provided along with great scenery of the Numinbah valley. Take in the views of Twin Falls and Rainbow falls from Canyon Lookout on the way home.

● If you cancel between 0 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

4 FAQ
Our vehicles are 16 seater Mercedes 4WD’s. These vehicles are higher than a normal vehicle but a fold down access step and grab bars are installed to assist entry into vehicle. Our vehicles do not have large storage areas, so mobility scooters, wheel chairs and full size prams cannot be stored. Canes, walking sticks, crutches and small umbrella strollers can be carried in the vehicle. Some small walking frames and collapsible wheel chairs may be possible so please contact us to discuss.
Restrooms are available are available at the restaurant and national park. The longest period is approx. 1.25 hours after pickup dependent on your hotel location. Guides will advise location on arrival and before departure.
Duration: 45 min to 1 hour. Walk normally takes 30 minutes but slowed down to leisurely stroll while guide explains flora and fauna and stops for viewing the glow worms.
Distance: 1.1 kilometers return
Grading*: Grade 3
Notes: Rough surface. 150 stairs over the course of the walk. Not suitable for wheel chair or pram. The walk to the waterfall and back takes the same path, however, on this tour we do not suggest that guests stop and wait. It would be best for guests to only choose this tour if they can comfortably walk the distance and manage the stairs.
