How to get there ● By Car
Christmas Cove Marina is located on Kangaroo Island, approximately 1km west of Penneshaw Ferry Terminal, takes about 4 minutes; approximately 52km east of Kingscote Airport, takes about 40 minutes; approximately 88km east of Seal Bay Conservation Park, takes about 1 hour 10 minutes.

Located approximately 20km south west of Cape Jervis Ferry Terminal, takes about 1 hour 10 minutes.

Christmas Cove Marina is 1km (approx.) from the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal, takes about 15 minutes walk.

● By Public Transport
Unfortunately there is no direct public transport available. Most visitors drive or arrive on a tour. If you do not drive, please book one of the day tours that visits Kangaroo Island with transfers.
Operating hours
Reconfirmation requirements Please be advised you are required to contact The Service Provider 24 hours prior to the travel date during business hours to reconfirm your booking, departure location and time, and boarding time with your confirmation number. Please adjust your travel plan according to the details given by The Service Provider at time of reconfirming.
Check-in requirements Please arrive at the ticket office 30 minutes prior to the departure time to exchange for ticket/boarding pass before proceeding to the boarding terminal. Regrettably, failure to arrive before this time will most likely be classified as no-show and result in forfeiting the booking and it cannot be refunded or transferred.

If you are not familiar with the area or travelling on a weekend or local public holidays / school holidays, please make sure you've checked your timetable or driving route beforehand, and allow extra travelling time for unexpected delays to ensure you do not miss your check in

● Minimum age for Dolphin Swim is 9 years
● Minimum age for Coastal Snorkelling is 8 years
● Children under the age of 8 are not permitted to enter the water.
● Children must be accompanied in the water with a parent / guardian at all times

Conditions
● The maximum is 10 person in each group with minimum of 2. Your booking may be cancelled if the minimum number of travelers is not met one (1) days prior to your travel date.
● Tours are subject to weather and minimum numbers and may be cancelled the day before or re-scheduled to another date.
● No wheelchair access on board vessel
● Food is not permitted to be eaten onboard the vessel unless given prior approval.
● Guests must be of reasonable fitness to participate in activity (i.e. be able to climb ladder onto vessel)
● A swimmer line with buoys is often used at the back of the vessel for the dolphin swim. Guests may be required to hold onto this line at times with the vessel moving which will require upper body strength.
● Guests must have reasonable swimming ability
● Please note an electronic device is used whilst guests are in the water that may interfere with other electronic devices. This activity is not suitable for those who with a pacemaker or those who are pregnant.
● Guests are to arrive at the Kangaroo Island Visitor Information Centre, Howard Drive, Penneshaw, 30 minutes prior to departure to be fitted into appropriate wetsuit & flippers
● These are wild animals and experiences change daily. Its all up to the animals as to how interactive they become.
● Seal numbers vary throughout the different seasons. Numbers peak in winter and are at their lowest from November to January.

Kangaroo Island Two Hours Swim with Dolphin/Seal/Coastal Snorkeling Depart from Kangaroo Island

 

Arrive at The Visitor Information Centre in Penneshaw (Howard drive) 30 minutes prior to departure. You will be fitted into the appropriate sized wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers as well as be provided with a safety brief. Then jump on board the 12 seater vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the stunning coastline. Seals often become very interactive and playful and provide a unique snorkelling experience. This is the only operator in South Australia that provides the opportunity to swim with the Long Nosed Seals. Also have the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins in the wild. A truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. The guide will also provide informative commentary along the way.
