2 Overview

The tour starts with a drive to Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas, a wildlife park where animals move freely throughout the entire sanctuary and visitors are free to interact with them. Take the entire morning to just walk around the entire sanctuary and get up close and personal with the sanctuary's animals, including kangaroos. After that, across the Daintree River to get to Cape Tribulation just in time for lunch. Then, stop at the Alexandra Lookout and take in panoramic views of the ocean and the lush rainforest. Finally, end the tour with the Daintree River Cruise, and get a chance to see more native animals including crocodiles, snakes, and more!

07:45 Depart Cairns. Travel to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives.
08:05 Commence pickups from Port Douglas accommodation.
08:45 Arrive at Wildlife Habitat. See the endangered cassowary and other wildlife.
10:00 Depart Wildlife Habitat.
11:00 Cross the Daintree River on the cable-driven ferry. Travel along the rainforest-fringed Cape Tribulation Road through Daintree National Park, a magnificent wilderness region.
12:15 Arrive at Cape Tribulation Beach House for a Tropical Lunch, followed by free time for a walk along the spectacular Cape Tribulation Beach.
13:15 Depart Cape Tribulation Beach House and visit Cape Tribulation Beach and Boardwalk for a guided rainforest walk with great photo opportunities.
