How to get there By Car -
Werribee Open Range Zoo is located 35 kilometres west of Melbourne’s city centre, on the Princes Freeway. It is a short 30-minute drive from the city over the Westgate Bridge or via the Geelong Road. (Take the Werribee South exit to K Road.)

By Public Transport -
From Melbourne, step 1, catch a train from the Melbourne CBD to Werribee station (travelling on the Werribee Line). Step 2 from Werribee station catch Bus 439 Werribee South to the Zoo.

All this, in an open range environment where the animals are given the space to behave as they would in their natural habitats.

  • Here is the home to one of the largest gorilla exhibits in the world. At 6,000 square metres, the spectacular exhibit allows silverback Motaba and his two sons the space to behave as they would in the wild.

Keeper Talks are unique opportunity to hear about animals from the people who know them best – their keepers. Each day, the zoo offers opportunities to hear expert keepers talk about the animals in their care and the conservation work being done for various species.

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 0 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee. If no show, no refund.
