How to get there ● By Car
- Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is located in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland. The park is approximately 20 minutes by car from Cairns City, 15 minutes from Palm Cove and 45 minutes from Port Douglas. Tjapukai is situated next door to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway on the corner of the Captain Cook Hwy and the Cairns Western Arterial Road.

- Public transport connects with Tjapukai via Translink Route 123 from the Cairns City Place Bus Stop and returns from the Tjapukai Bus Stop.

Check-in requirements Please ensure you arrive at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow enough time to check in. Regrettably, failure to arrive before this time will most likely be classified as no-show and result in forfeiting the booking and it cannot be refunded or transferred.

If you are not familiar with the area or travelling on a weekend or local public holidays / school holidays, please make sure you've checked your timetable or driving route beforehand, and allow extra travelling time for unexpected delays to ensure you do not miss your check in.

● Children's rates apply for ages 4-14 years.

● Most of the Tjapukai shows and activities are not affected by rain, Service Provider is an all weather venue.
● Visitors agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, Service Provider, its related bodies corporate, its current and former officers, employees, contractors, sub-contractors/consultants (including their respective employees and contractors) and agents against, from and in respect of all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses of any kind whatsoever (including but not limited to consequential and economic losses, property loss/damage and damages for injury, including personal injury and death) arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from visitor's booking or visit to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park except to the extent such expense, cost, liability, claim, action, proceeding, damage, judgment or loss arose out of, was caused by, attributable to or resulted from Service Provider's negligence or wrongful act/omission.

2 Overview

Nightfire is Tjapukai's evening experience meeting the Bama, the Indigenous rainforest people, who paint visitors' face to link to their traditional land and take visitors on a mesmerising journey with the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo. Visit Tjapukai by Night for a great evening out!

Night Fire by Tjapukai*

Night Fire is Tjapukai's signature evening activity where visitors will meet the Indigenous rainforest people, who paint visitors' face to link to their traditional land and more. Follow the Tjapukai warriors to a corroboree celebrating Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and join the Rainbow Serpent circle to learn traditional language songs before the ceremonial fire is lit with a spectacular fire ball shooting towards the stars.

Dinner will enjoy Australian meats, seafood and an array of salads and desserts featuring tantalising Indigenous flavours at the Flame Tree Bar & Grill. Relax around the fire with the Tjapukai warriors where there is time for an intimate chat, an end to a night of cultural entertainment.
