Reconfirmation requirements Please be advised you are required to contact The Service Provider 24 hours prior to the travel date during business hours to reconfirm your booking, pick up location and time, and departure time with your confirmation number. Check-in requirements Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the pick-up time at your booked pick up location. There might be 5-10 minutes delay depends on the traffic on the day. - Uluru: Low level of fitness required. Approximately 1 hour gentle walk on flat ground.
- Kata Tjuta: Moderate level of fitness required. Uneven surfaces to complete Walpa Gorge walk

● Luggage Limit
One medium size suitcase per person plus one piece of hand luggage which may be carried on-board the coach. Please note that luggage with an adjustable handle and wheels will not fit in the overhead compartments and cannot be accepted as hand luggage. Maximum weight of the suitcase not to exceed 23kg (50lbs). It is required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit. If your luggage exceeds this limit, please make alternative arrangements for the excess to be forwarded to the termination point of your tour. It is recommended that you have wheels on your suitcase, as there are certain places where assistance is not available (e.g. railway stations and cruise terminals).

2 Overview

Experience the wonders of the Red Centre. Dine under the stars at the Sounds of Silence dinner and take in an Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a guided tour of the base of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

Itinerary

  • Welcome to Uluru (Ayers Rock) - Sounds of Silence Dinner ( - / - / Dinner)

    On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 15:00).

    This evening, dine in the desert under a million stars at the awardwinning Sounds of Silence Dinner. As the sun sets, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your fellow travellers for an unforgettable dining experience. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as a star talker takes you on a tour of the night sky (weather conditions permitting).

      The Outback Pioneer Hotel provides comfortable, clean accommodation for the traveller who is simply looking for somewhere to rest between their outback adventures.

      Standard Rooms are comfortable and spacious and feature one queen and one single bed. All rooms have private en suite, television and movies on demand.

    • Standard Accommodation (Option 2)

      Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel is centrally located to all resort and touring facilities and offers a range of accommodation, from shaded poolside rooms to deluxe rooms overlooking the desert.

      In the heart of Australia's Red Centre, the hotel beautifully contrasts Uluru's raw natural beauty with a luxurious outback holiday experience.

      Soaring white sails crown Ayers Rock Resort's Sails in the Desert Hotel, shading 228 luxury five star rooms and suites.

      Please Note: There will be refurbishments between 25 Jan - 26 Jun 2019, and 4 Nov 2019 - 30 Jun 2020. Sails in the Desert will be working to ensure there is minimal disturbance and impact to its operation and guests.

     

  • Uluru Sunrise - Kata Tjuta - Sacred Sites & Sunset ( - / - / - )

    Rise early to witness sunrise over Uluru (Ayers Rock), then continue to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, where you'll follow the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes.

    This afternoon, visit Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, then tour the base of Uluru with a Driver Guide. Take a gentle walk to the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole and view ancient Aboriginal rock paintings. Later, travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area, and relax with sparkling wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the myriad shades of colour for which Uluru is renowned.

     

  • Farewell from Uluru (Ayers Rock)

    Your short break concludes this morning. You’ll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).
