The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a celebration of Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. During the course of the show, a large range of livestock is judged. Each year, there are more than 10,000 different animals including alpaca, cattle, horses, dogs, pigs and goats will display at the show.

Stroll along the Animal Walk, and you'll see all the Sydney Royal award-winning animals and farmyard friends. This is your opportunity to take an exotic alpaca for an amble! Looking like small llamas or miniature camels with no humps, these gentle, curious animals respond well to children. Piglets, sows and boars are also on display, at the Show this is your best chance to discover the difference between a Wessex, Duroc and a Berkshire.

Looking for the most desirable characteristics of wool? Come and discover what our Judges determine as the best. Weight, uniformity of length and colour are just some of the aspects they look at. And the sensational skills of super-speedy champion shearers are on show every day, along with stories and secrets from the shearing sheds.

Farmyard Nursery is a paradise for children. Stroll along the Animal Walk and you will find the Farmyard Nursery - an open-plan indoor paddock, located next to the Woolworths Fresh Food Farm on New England Avenue, with over 800 free-range animals you can pat. Here you'll see playful ducklings on their waterslide, fawns, piglets, geese, donkeys and much more. Kids can buy a cup of feed and give their new farmyard friends a snack. Or ask the carers for a brush so you can spruce up their coat while you get to know each other. This is a great opportunity to learn and understand animals in a safe environment.

Food and Drinks

At the show there are plenty of choices. Here you can enjoy beer, cider and wine by the glass or try something new at the whisky, gin and rum bar. And you can find the finest, freshest regional produce in a celebration of Australia's multi-cultural diet.

Woolworths Fresh Food Dome

It simply isn't a visit to the Show without a stop to see the District Exhibits displays in the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome. Displays are entered by five competing regions representing Southern, Northern, Western, Central NSW and South East Queensland and comprise fresh fruit, vegetables, pulses, wool, eggs, beeswax, wine, jams, grain, bacon and more. In all, 50,000 pieces of produce are used to create the exhibits and on the final day of the Show, there is a sale offering the chance to grab a bargain whilst supporting our Australian farmers. Fresh produce can be purchased at the front of each District Exhibit every day of the Show.
